The following is just a small sample of the commitment the Duncan-Cowichan Chamber of Commerce is making to ensure the well being of our community.

  • Provides leadership and advocacy regarding local issues.
  • Ensures your business has a voice at the provincial level of government, through membership with the BC Chamber.
  • Meets with all levels of local government, to ensure the needs and concerns of the business community are met.
  • Operates the year-round Visitor Centre, and seasonal InfoBooth, which promote our region locally and abroad.
  • Is active on several committees that protect the welfare of business, including the Graffiti Task Force.
  • Presents educational workshops and seminars.
  • Hosts lunch meetings with top-level speakers, and breakfast meetings with a “learning” focus.
  • Provides networking and marketing opportunities with “Business After Five” membership mixers.
  • Refers your business to other businesses, residents and visitors to our community.

  • Liaises with other economic development and marketing organizations to promote growth in all sectors.
  • Hosts the Gourmet Gala, which showcases the region’s outstanding agricultural product and talent.
  • Provides a High School bursary.
  • Participates in the Regional Advisory Panel, which enables the Chamber to identify, develop and execute appropriate community projects.
  • Organizes and hosts Municipal, Provincial, and Federal All Candidates Debates.
  • Meets regularly with other Island Chambers to exchange ideas, and identify issues of concern to business and ways of addressing those concerns.
