DESCRIPTION:Homebody is an all women collective of contemporary artists seeking to explore the theme of Home and what is means to create & honour this feeling within ourselves. The artists: Vivian Sofia is a mixed media illustrator\, painter and ceramist based on the West Coast. With a focus on decorative ceramic pieces\, her work brings nature to life with her hand painted flowers and botanically-inspired work. Annabelle Bail is a Nanaimo based artist whose work touches on the exploration of identity and queerness\, illustrating semi-abstract bodies layered with instinctive line work in mixed media drawings\, digital collages\, paintings or ceramics. Amelie Blanchard is a Nanaimo based art therapist\, mixed media artist and graphic designer. Originally from Montreal/Kanien'keha\, she now lives and works on Snuneymuxw territory. Her art is how she makes sense of her inner and outer world as a woman\, her connection to nature and spirituality. There will be an opening event on Saturday July 27\, 2 PM - 5 PM.
