SUMMARY:Islands Agriculture Show
DESCRIPTION:The Islands Agriculture Show returns January 30 31\, 2026\, in North Cowichan a key gathering for farmers\, producers\, and supporters across Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands. The Islands Agriculture Show remains the biggest Island-based agriculture event of the year and the 2026 edition looks to be especially relevant. The conference sessions will cover topics ranging from agritourism to soil health\, seed saving\, climate change\, Indigenous agriculture\, and lambing/kidding. This reflects both traditional farming and new challenges/opportunities facing Island agriculture. Over 60 exhibitors are expected from equipment dealers to service providers and farm-support organizations giving established and aspiring farmers a chance to connect\, explore new tools\, and access resources. "Young Farmers Day" (Friday\, January 30) invites school-aged children to explore the science of farming through interactive stations hosted by the Vancouver Island Regional 4-H Council. There will be hands-on demonstrations on seed planting\, vintage-machinery displays\, weaving\, goats and the Poultry in Motion barn. If you're farming or thinking about starting\, the Show will likely be the year's most useful "pulse-check": on markets\, practices\, tools\, and policy trends.
