DESCRIPTION:In Media Relations 101\, Cynthia Lockrey of Lockrey Communications will teach you how to share your story with confidence and be heard!\n\n\n\nFacebook\, Twitter\, websites\, newspapers\, radio\, blogs the amount of ways to share your information can be overwhelming. But it doesn't have to be. I'll share some tools and techniques to help you get clear on your audience and tailor your story to best connect with them. We'll look at the traditional and social media landscape\, discussing different ways to share your story. And finally\, I'll share some tips on how to write a press release the media will actually read. To get the most of this session\, come prepared with recent press releases or examples of promotion campaigns by your organization. This is an interactive session presented by a former newspaper editor and public relations professional. \n \n\nThis Lunch N Learn will take place at Sands Funeral Chapel\, parking and entrance on Ypres Street. Along the way\, she began taking note of the elements that make up a good story\, and where the story got lost in the telling   both proactive and reactive situations.
