DESCRIPTION:All levels of governments are increasingly integrating social procurement into their bid requirements. In this session\, Kristi Fairholm-Mader\, Project Manager with Coastal Communities Social Procurement Initiative\, will explain what businesses can expect\, share stories and examples of how social procurement is being implemented\, and outline upcoming opportunities. This session is best suited to goods and services suppliers that are interested in bidding on or have government contracts\, and/or are suppliers to larger government contractors.\n\n \n\nThis Lunch N Learn will be held at Sands Funeral Chapel\, parking and entrance of Ypres Street.  Bring your own lunch\, coffee and tea available at the venue.  Free for Chamber Members\, $5 cash-at-door for Non-Members.\n\n \n\nKristi Fairholm Mader is Project Manager of Coastal Communities Social Procurement Initiative (CSPI)\, focused on connecting local procurement to community well-being. Kristi's background is in business models that deliver both economic and social value\, and local economic development.  In addition to her work with CSPI\, Kristi is a Co-Founding Director of Scale Collaborative and a Partner with Social Enterprise Catalyst.
