    The Chamber is delighted to welcome Mike Hooper, President and CEO of Nanaimo Airport for our Speaker Series Luncheon in March.  Nanaimo Airport (YCD) is one of the fastest growing airports in BC, offering direct flights to Calgary, Vancouver and Toronto. The Airport recently completed a $15 million terminal expansion project which included a 14,000 sq ft building addition.  Mike will be speaking about the expansion as part of the Airport’s 2019 – 2023 Strategic Plan. Come and learn why Nanaimo Airport’s tagline is “getting there is easier than ever!”. 

    The luncheon will begin at 11:30 am with an opportunity to network, tea and coffee provided.  The presentation and luncheon will begin promptly at noon. The catered buffet will include gluten friendly and dairy free items.

    Mike Hooper was born and raised on Vancouver Island – he has lived in the Ladysmith Area since the early 1960’s. Mike has an under-graduate degree from Simon Fraser University and a Master’s of Business Administration from Royal Roads University in Victoria. He worked in land management positions in the forest industry for 26 years before accepting the appointment of airport President and CEO in May, 2006.
