Chamber Luncheon - Ian Baillie, Harvest One Cannabis Inc.
The Duncan Cowichan Chamber of Commerce is delighted to host Ian Baillie, VP of Corporate Communications for Harvest One, the parent company for Cowichan's United Greeneries operation. Ian will be presenting plans for the company and will speak to their commitment to the local economy and how legalization for marijuana will impact horticultural facilities.
Harvest One is an early-entry global cannabis company focused on servicing both the medical and recreational cannabis markets, in Canada and internationally. Shareholders have significant exposure to the entire cannabis value chain through three business units, with Harvest One serving as the umbrella company over horticultural arm United Greeneries and medical arm Satipharm AG.
Ian has over 20 years of experience in communications, public relations and government affairs. Prior to joining Harvest One, Ian held senior roles in a variety of heavily regulated industries. In the liquor industry, he has served as the Executive Director for the Alliance of Beverage Licensees - the voice of British Columbia’s pub and private liquor stores. He eventually moved into the energy sector becoming the Executive Director in BC for the Canadian Wind Energy Association.
In addition to his regulated sector experience, Ian has extensive experience in government having held key roles in both municipal and federal politics. He has served as both the Executive Director, Senior Strategist and Director of Communications on numerous political campaigns at various levels of government. In addition to his campaign work, he has worked as a Chief of Staff to a British Columbia MP on Parliament Hill and has served on the Board of Directors for the Liberal Party of Canada in B.C. He currently manages the Communications team at Harvest One and sits on the company’s executive team.
