    Event Description:

    Join us as we celebrate Habitat for Humanity, Mid Vancouver Island (HFHMVI), with a very different kind of Chamber Mixer!  This even will be held in a newly constructed HFHMVI duplex - the very first of their builds to be completed in the Cowichan Valley! 

    Event attendees will get the opportunity to take a tour of one side of the duplex with HFHMVI's Build Manager, Les.  Learn about how a Habitat Build is different to a regular build and see how we have adapted the unit to meet the special needs of the family chosen to live there.

    Following the tour, guest will enjoy some snacks and drinks and a quick address from HFHMVI's Executive Director, Marcel Aubin, who will explain a little more about how the Habitat for Humanity home-ownership program works.

    Capacity will be limited for this event, so be sure to register in advance.  The homes will be very close to completion by Nov 14th so they will be dry and warm.  While no protective gear will be required, we do recommend comfortable footwear.

    We hope you'll join us in celebrating HFHMVI and the many local businesses and individuals who have been working on-site, donating their time and goods, to bring this project to fruition!

    HFHMVI's mission is to bring communities together to help families build strength, stability and independence through affordable home-ownership.  They work with volunteers and community partners to build affordable housing for local families.  Revenue from their ReStore?s covers all the operating costs, allowing 100% of donating to go towards building new homes.
