The Cowichan Valley Arts Council is hosting a mixer to show off artists works, share their programming and, in particular, highlight the Youth Outreach Program. This program links students with professional artist mentors. They work together for 2 years and the journey culminates in the StudentWorks show.
Come to the mixer, see the works, meet the students and artist mentors. You'll discover insights about the mentoring process, view the wonderful student creations that arose from this thorough and generous process. You'll hear participant success stories too - some go on to study at a post-secondary level. Others are enriched by exploring their talent and working with accomplished artists.
This is also a great opportunity to find out what your local Arts Council has to offer throughout the year. In 2018 they feature more than 20 shows in support of local, regional, national and international artists. The Arts Council offers a wide range of activities for anyone interested in art.
Come and enjoy light refreshments, view some lovely works, mix and mingle with emerging Cowichan Valley artists, and catch up with fellow members. Discover what's new and exciting at the Cowichan Valley Arts Council.
