The Chamber, in partnership with Community Futures Cowichan, is delighted to welcome Matt Grossnickle from the Cowichan Trail Stewardship Society for November's Speaker Series Luncheon.
The Cowichan Trail Stewardship Society (CTSS) was formed in 2013 to organize the passionate mountain bikers and hikers who have been creating an using the Cowichan Valley's trail systems for years. The CTSS has developed a strong relationship with the Municipality of North Cowichan and is responsible for managing the trail systems in the municipal forest reserve. The CTSS has also been hard at work promoting the region's sustainable recreational tourism goals. This was realized recently with the BC Bike Race (one of the world's premier mountain bike races), in which the Cowichan Valley was the starting leg for 2018.
The Luncheon will begin at 11:30 am with an opportunity to network, coffee and tea provided. The presentation will begin promptly at 12:00 pm. Advance bookings are required.
