Pest Control Technician

Position Overview:
Sentry Pest Control is a rapidly growing company dedicated to providing dependable, effective, and high-quality pest control solutions to residential and commercial customers. We are seeking driven, service-oriented professional to join our team as a Pest Control Technician
Pay: CA$44,000.00 - CA$56,000.00 per year with potential for commissions and other bonuses
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
Job description:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pest Control Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and managing pest issues in residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, a customer-focused attitude, and the ability to work independently. You will utilize various hand and power tools to effectively carry out pest control measures while ensuring safety and compliance with regulations. Construction and structural knowledge will be an asset. Those with certification will get top priority. Certification testing will be required. Study books will be supplied and we will help train on the job.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough inspections of properties to identify pest infestations and potential entry points.
• Develop and implement effective pest management plans tailored to individual client needs.
• Apply pesticides and other treatments in accordance with safety guidelines and regulations.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools for the installation of pest control devices and barriers.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed, including treatment plans and follow-up actions.
• Provide exceptional customer service by educating clients on pest prevention methods.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and high-quality service delivery.
• Stay updated on industry trends, pest control techniques, and safety protocols.
• Attain and maintain current BC Structural Applicator’s Certificate.

 
Requirements:

• Previous experience in pest control preferred; experience in a related field (such as construction, maintenance, etc.) is required.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools is a plus.
• Strong sales skills to effectively communicate services to clients and promote additional treatments as needed.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while managing time effectively.
• Must possess a valid class 5 driver’s license and reliable transportation to work.
• Willingness to undergo any necessary training or certification as required by Provincial regulations.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada
• Education: Secondary School (required)
• Language: English (required)
